Alberta Premier Danielle Smith faced questions from reporters in Calgary on Friday morning about her government’s plans to hold a provincial referendum this fall. When asked about comments by former Alberta premier Rachel Notley and deputy premier Thomas Lukaszuk accusing Smith of “Nazi tactics” with her immigration approach, the premier shot back calling the comments “disgusting” and “very gross.” She added “This is the same kind of policy that was affirmed last week by the federal government when it came to saying that temporary foreign workers should have private insurance when they arrive.”
